Howard Bullock

Founder of Fire House Dance
Fellow of the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association)

Latin American and Ballroom dance has been a part of Howard’s life from a very early age when he took his first lesson at a local school near where he lived in Stockport.

Howard went on to become National champion twice, winning first place at the IDTA nationwide comps in Blackpool.

Howard trained in Theatre dance at Bates Dance Academy gaining teaching qualifications with the IDTA and has had a successful career as a professional dancer and choreographer all over the world. He has been teaching dance since 2009 and opened his ballroom dance school with the hope of bringing his love of the ballroom to others in a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where everyone gets to benefit from the qualities that dancing provides.

Howard has now gained Fellow status with the IDTA and won both the John Dilworth Award and Arthur J Gallaghar Bursery awarded to promising teachers.

Howard now spreads his time between teaching at Fire House Dance, teaching dance in local schools and overseeing productions with Television channels and programmes.

Heather Bullock

Founder of Siren Fitness

Heather trained in classical ballet and theatre dance at Northern Ballet School in Manchester and went on to have a professional dancing career spanning over a decade and seeing her fulfil roles as Dance Captain, Production Manager and Choreographer.

Heather followed this with 10 years of teaching dance to pupils ages from 2 years old through to older adults and has gained teaching qualifications with both the ISTD and IDTA.

Heather has now trained as a fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer with Lifetime Fitness and holds a level 3 diploma. She opened Siren Fitness with the aim of helping women, especially Mums, get fit and stay fit without having to go to the gym. Heather specialises in Exercise for Pre and Postnatal ladies and exercise for older adults.

Heather now has 3 young children and is very experienced in keeping exercise going around juggling work and a busy family life which is where the idea of Siren Fitness came from……. Fitness that fits around life, work and budget!

Emma Roberts

Emma works for PEEL Talent as a Talent Manager for Thomson and TUI Cruise, previously she worked professionally for over ten years in the dance, performing arts and more recently education industry.

She initially trained for three years at Laine Theatre Arts, Epsom, gaining teaching qualifications and a Level 6 Diploma in Musical Theatre and went on to performing professionally as a singer and dancer for a number of years including work on Carnival Cruise Lines and later in a number of No 1 UK tours.

Since 2008 she has been mainly working as a Dance, Performing Arts and Physical Education facilitator and choreographer, gaining significant experience working with a diverse range of children of varying ages from three years to adult classes and abilities from beginner to professional level in a range of styles and subjects. She has recently achieved a first class BA (hons) degree in Contemporary Dance. She is really looking forward to starting Street Dance and Clubbercise classes at The Fire House Studios.

Sarah Hardiman

Sarah holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports and Exercise Therapy and is a practicing Physiotherapist at her own physiotherapy surgery Skipton Sports Injury Clinic. Sarah started taking Ballet classes at an early age but stopped due to an injury when she was 17, which spurred her on to do her dissertation on researching ankle injuries in Ballet.

Once recovered from her injury Sarah found her love for dancing again and this time in the form of Latin American and Ballroom and is now an experienced teacher, teaching beginners courses and classes in Ilkey for fire House Dance.
