Howard Bullock
Founder of Fire House Dance
Fellow and Examiner of the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association)
Associate member of the NATD (National Association of Teachers of Dance), UKA (United Kingdom Alliance) and ADA (Allied Dance Association)
Latin American and Ballroom dance has been a part of Howard’s life from a very early age when he took his first lesson at a local school near where he lived in Stockport.
Howard went on to become a National champion twice, winning first place at the IDTA nationwide comps in the world famous Winter Gardens Empress Ballroom, Blackpool.
Howard trained in Theatre dance at Bates Dance Academy gaining teaching qualifications with a variety of dance associations and has had a successful career as a professional dancer and choreographer all over the world. He opened his ballroom dance school in 2009 with the mission of bringing his love of the ballroom to others in a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where everyone gets to benefit from the qualities that dancing provides.
Howard has gained Fellow status with the IDTA and won the John Dilworth Award, Arthur J Gallaghar Bursary and the John Knight Award presented to promising teachers.
Howard now spreads his time between teaching at Fire House Dance, examining and presenting lectures, teaching dance in local schools and overseeing productions with Television channels and programmes.
Heather Bullock
Founder of Siren Fitness
Heather trained in classical ballet and theatre dance at Northern Ballet School in Manchester and went on to have a professional dancing career spanning over a decade and seeing her fulfil roles as Dance Captain, Production Manager and Choreographer.
Heather followed this with 10 years of teaching dance to pupils ages from 2 years old through to older adults and has gained teaching qualifications with the ISTD.
Heather has now trained as a health and fitness professional and holds a level 3 exercise diploma and level 4 advanced diploma in nutrition. She opened Siren Fitness and Nutrition with the aim of helping women, especially Mums, get fit and stay fit without having to go to the gym. Heather specialises in Exercise for Pre and Postnatal ladies and exercise for older adults.
Sophie Thomson
Sophie has been dancing since the age of 3 having been born into a dancing family.
She has won many titles throughout her career in Ballroom, Latin and Sequence. Sophie has been 12 times British Open Champion in Classical Sequence and Modern Sequence. Sophie has years of experience in teaching people of all ages and abilities from people taking their first steps in dance to coaching British finalists.
Sarah Hardiman
Sarah holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports and Exercise Therapy and is a practicing Physiotherapist at her own physiotherapy surgery Skipton Sports Injury Clinic.
Sarah started taking Ballet classes at an early age but stopped due to an injury when she was 17, which spurred her on to do her dissertation on researching ankle injuries in Ballet. Once recovered from her injury Sarah found her love for dancing again and this time in the form of Latin American and Ballroom and is now an experienced and IDTA qualified teacher, teaching beginners courses and classes for Fire House Dance.
